Introduction to Trutex
Established in 1865, as the "Clitheroe Shirting Company" in Grindleton, near Clitheroe, Lancs, Trutex now produces an extensive range of schoolwear items, from casual wear to sportswear, blazers to rugby shirts.
With a commitment to producing comfortable, well-designed clothing coupled with Trutex's unique ability to keep in touch with the needs of its customers, the company has led the way for over 140 years proving that the formula of design, comfort and value for money is welcomed by its customers.
2006 saw the re-launch of the Trutex website following 18 months of intensive research and development into the purchasing patterns of our customers. In 2008 we changed the Trutex website again to give it a new 'facelift' but we made sure that all the great functionality remained.
The 2008/2009 season saw the introduction of the Fairtrade section to the website, offering a range of Fairtrade cotton school uniform products. By purchasing Fairtrade cotton items you are ensuring that small-scale cotton farmers in the developing world can improve their livelihoods.
